I started playing golf when I was twelve years old. Growing up we lived out in the country and my dad would go out to the front yard and hit a bucket of balls into the field. I would stand there watch in amazement. One day dad asked me if I wanted to give it a try. I’ve been hooked ever since.
Playing golf regularly has helped me become a better golfer. But what really helped me move up to the next level was when I decided to finally take a lesson in golf. Some people may find themselves where I use to be. You’ve been playing for so long that you tell yourself there’s nothing else to learn. Not true with golf. There’s always something to learn.
My first lesson was an eye opener. It helped me understand the golf swing in a way I never thought possible. Having a professional examine my swing is one of the best things I ever did to improve my game. They have a trained eye to find your mistakes and help you fix them.
Also, with the technology that’s available today it makes it that much easier. You can watch your golf swing on video and be able to see what you’re doing wrong or what you’re doing right. You can have your swing speed checked to help you determine what type of shaft and what type of golf ball would work best for you. You can have custom clubs built for you based on your body type. There are so many ways to improve your game.
Another great way to take a lesson in golf is online. You can find tools online that will help you develop a solid golf swing and they’ll cost you next to nothing.
Want to improve your golf game? Take a lesson or two.
